As the clock ticks along,
And the life’s moves to the next song
Mind wants to take a step back,
Sift through the growing stack
The moments that I cherish the most,
Scanty and transient like a ghost
The waves of world ever so brute,
Makes us pluck the low hanging fruit
Society dictates the way we operate,
Aplomb often loses to hesitate
As we put the brick to our wall of life,
Eyes gaze us on the edge of knife
To choose what means more to us,
To devour in luxuries without fuss
To chase beauty over splendour,
Making most of the time so slender
Going against the wave,
Has never been the rave
But for the mind to breathe,
And the heart to seethe...
We need to contemplate,
The life and its template
To amend our living law,
And mend the puzzle jigsaw…
